Listening to Music
For as long as I can remember, listening to music has always been a close and personal experience for my mind, heart, and body. It was and continues to be an always available companion. One that transcends all kinds of boundaries, imaginary and physical. Beyond that, to me, music presents itself as a close friend that connects, understands and speaks, and one that elevates in all the fitting instances, not only that, but it seamlessly morphs into a soul remedy that adds pinches of ingredients necessary for all the prior in heart, mind, and body to heal forward through the condition and the flow.
Travel
In a joyfully and loosely tantamount manner, in how word selection tunes semantic sense to navigate the sea of meaning and deliver a painted spread that connects to the whole of a reader or a listener, and in how a composer fine-tunes a form so that a sentient perceptive absorbs an audible wave into their living self, perhaps the motion in travel is the pertinent to those in selection and tuning in the prior. As motion rests in space and time, and as space and time are the nearest immediate to our senses and our being, it is travel that realizes experiential transcendence through both space and time. Travel can truly enrich minds, hearts, bodies, and souls.
Information Technology
Truly, it sounds like a conundrum to a willing and able observant. For the longest, technology was paramount in and contained within the physical, a stick and a stone, a motion and some pressure, to then stepping into the intangible. Information technology, you say, for when you aim to discover the boundaries of ingenuity we have reached in creation, you will continue to be surprised at how we not only found, but extracted and added bits and pieces to both the momentary snapshot of the memory of life, and to the more enduring memory of the same physical world we live in. If I were to describe IT in a few words, I would choose nothing less than the words "the science and application of flow among the physical and the intangible". Information Technology is the closest thing we have to magic in this world.
Making Music
I found myself transforming a fascination into a new slow boil obsession sometime in 2023, and now in 2024 I am spending a good amount of time learning and trying to create electronic music, Techno to be more specific. Techno is not new to me. I have enjoyed it through some of the best and also through some of the worst times of my life. It's just that I'm new to the art of creating Techno music. A close friend that already connects, understands, speaks, and heals, deserves most to be spoken to, and the only way to speak to music is to create it.
Professional Experience
Employment
My employment experience started in financial data services and involved both financial and technological aspects of analyzing and handling statutory financial reports for publicly traded companies, continued further into software development work in financial services companies as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, and Process Consultant.
Standalone Information Technology Service Provider
My independent work included delivering information technology services to companies in financial services, utilities and energy, logistics and shipment handling, education services, and government institutions. Services delivered include discovery and analysis of business and information systems, design and development of software applications and webpages, the level of complexity of services delivered spans from single static web pages to organizationally integrated software solutions with fully automated embedded business processes. I have also provided IT consulting services in various topics including Business Process Management, Robotic Process Automation, Business Transformation and Cybersecurity.
Startup Product Development
I contributed to market research, product design, product development, and release to market for two Startup SaaS products.
My additional summer work
I have occasionally worked in HORECA as a selfstanding kitchen staff, waiter, bartender, catering worker, and cashier. I have also worked as a church cleaner, and at an electroforming factory where I was hand-plating gold on silver ornaments.
Volunteering
I helped in building a more eco-friendly residential structure for a family where I also learned about natural building techniques. I am also a volunteer for Het Nederlandse Rode Kruis, so far as a waiting hall assistant at medical facilities and as a courier of gifts to houses of elderly citizens in times of crisis.
